alright welcome parents my name is Mister scars I'm your child's principal for here at Richland Junior High and so I recording this graduation parent meeting information for you to hopefully answers I'm sure some of the questions that you had something I didn't get started I'm looking all over the place I'm looking at all the screen so I apologize so small graduation requirements must have or maintain a 2.0 GPA for the entire time at their role that was in junior high and you have been receiving letters along the way to keep you notified of where your child has been at throughout the school year as far as attendance students have to be enrolled for at least six weeks they should not have more than 18 days of absences but I do know that I'm things on an individual basis so if your child was out due to covet or quarantine those absences are not going to be held against your child okay so in order to be how to host the in-person graduation we are going to be having the ceremony But be sure that we follow the federal and local Health Department guidelines until we want follow the guidelines but also do our best to give the graduates and the families the best possible celebration while of course maintaining everybody's health and safety all right so God patient status parents and students will be notified of the final graduation status on the on May 20th so on May 20th I will be handing three letters three letters out that day so the first letter will be notifying the graduates congratulating them of graduation and then second letter will be for those students that did not meet the graduation requirements and then the third letter for those students that have participated and are believed to be 60 program and they will have some additional requirements in order to complete the graduation requirements for graduation okay and then parents for those of you that receive a letter that your child is not graduating I would also like to take this opportunity to share with you that if you register your child for some school with Shafter High and their program that and they complete the six weeks of summer program I will I will give the go ahead and give them their junior high graduation diploma until that is something that mr. Shipley are high school high school high school principal and myself have worked out that if the students complete the program I will honor the 8th grade graduation requirements and go ahead and allow that diploma to be printed for your child all right so please note that students still must have been a computer class work from this by forward until graduation the status is always subject to change based on attendance classwork completion and behavior even though you have those letters understand that the requirements are still in place okay so the letter our parents and students will receive a hard copy in the mail to the mail as well as one will go home with your child on Friday and it'll basically have the graduation started the word recipient information any arrival information that I'm going to cover today safety protocols and then any final update that may come up between now and and Friday I will I'm at to the letter all right so first topic is cap and gown on Tuesday May 31st students that have purchased their cap and gown will receive a drink 7. So they can take it home I would suggest you take it out of the bag and that it hang so that it's not all wrinkled the day of graduation your books on Wednesday June 1st you didn't oversee the yearbooks and have an opportunity to sign each other's books that day Awards medals in pain so on Thursday June 2nd or presentations will take place during during school students will take items home and any metals are pins should be worn on graduation day okay and then graduation date is set for Friday June 3rd 2022 it's going to be on the Ridge Junior High field graduation will commence at 9 a.m. arrival time for graduates its 8 a.m. so students will be entering through the through the pool parking lot and then after that students will enter through that back gate and then parents and guess what interests do the gates on North Atlantic Avenue so it's two different locations okay all guests must have registered prior to entry on campus I guess two guess for graduate graduates and gas put together on the field chairs on the field will be positioned so that a minimum of 3 ft distances between family groups and maintained during the ceremony church will be assigned and labeled and then if your family has to graduate so I'm not then we will sit the two graduates together and the to get together please remind for When selecting Jasperson to are particularly vulnerable to coated or have any underlying health issues discouraged from attending and the individuals who are sick or in isolation or quarantine must remain at home as well if you need to make changes to register to guess you must do so before June 1st we cannot accept any. just stared at the graduation ceremony I've been pre-registration all attendees must pre-register to attend the event only those are pre-registered will be able to attend there's no substitutions to the two gas selected and again if you have infants and toddlers they will be considered a guest so make sure you plan that according to pre-registration when will be open on May 20th at 3 p.m. so how do you pre register pre-registration formal be found in the riches Junior High student Google Classroom have your child log into their school account go to the 21-22 rjh student classroom sign the form under class work in graduation and go ahead and answer the selected questions lady's attire ladies dresses appropriate for the dignity and honor of the occasion so they must adhere to the dress, make sure there's no extreme style strapless cut out and then he just may not wear jeans okay any shoes let's have a heel strap for safety purposes and Ladies we are going to be walking on the grass and so I would discourage word any kind of a a heel what day maybe a platform or flat she might be better about getting those are your choices but just want you to know that you will be walking in grass Tire suit pants slacks with appropriate dress shirt eyes are recommended coats and vests are optionals you don't need to wear a tuxedo or Jean no jeans t-shirt or shorts are allowed.
